I met Colour Me Beautiful after a car crash over 20 years ago. The advice on colour and dressing for my body shape combined with how to use make-up well aided my recovery and has made such a difference to my life since then.

My background is unusual in that I am a scientist by training with an interest in dyeing; I am a member of the Society of Dyers and Colourists. I have a career of over 25 years in education which involved working for the Government and National College of School Leadership.  As I became more involved in research and training in leadership it was clear that image and confidence were key factors.  I joined Colour Me Beautiful, Europe’s leading image consultancy and became a colour, style and image consultant both for men and women. I am passionate about helping people feel confident in how they look. I combine my background with my Colour Me Beautiful training to ensure each individual gains maximum benefit and many often note that a session with me goes well beyond their expectations. I firmly believe that we can all look our best, every day, whatever our age, shape, size or budget.

I have trained and coached thousands of people across the country over the years and have been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce for my contribution to education nationally.

People frequently ask where they can find the accessories that I wear and are surprised when I say that I have designed and made them. What started as an interest in making things as a child has led to a love of spinning, dyeing, felt making, knitting and dressmaking. Over the years I have trained in advance couture and styling techniques and now produce a range of one-off or limited edition accessories with no two pieces being the same. My work has been exhibited nationally and pieces have gone as far a field as Japan and Australia. I am also happy to provide one to one tuition or run workshops related to these skills.
